Words don’t always mean what you say.

Words don’t always mean what you say.

It’s been a little while since my last post which either reflects I haven’t had anything to say or I’ve been a bit on the busy side.  I think its probably a bit of both.  My source of material has dried up a bit since my son moved up to secondary school.  It’s a bit of a shame as in primary school he was an endless source of inspiration!

Anyway, my daughter brought to light this morning that I’m not really firing on all cylinders at the moment when in Starbucks she uttered the phrase, “Mum you’re a mess!”  Thanks babe!!

The source of this comment? My inability to order properly or form any sort of cohesive conversation.  Firstly, I asked for a tall latte, when in fact I actually wanted a grande americano, then I asked for an apple danish (which, they don’t do) when I actually meant an almond pastry thingy!  The poor guy behind the counter, just looked at me as if I was completely off my rocker, hence the comment from my daughter.

So, what’s a mum to do?  I got back in my car, drank my coffee, ate my pastry, took my darling daughter to school and started to feel less of a mess.
