Oh wow – where is time going? I have lost not just minutes, not even days, but months. It doesn’t seem that long since it was Christmas and now we’re at the summer hols. A lot has been crammed in but equally I don’t know how I’ve managed to lose the first six months of the year.
I suppose I’ve been working virtually full time (hence the lack of posts) and my eldest’s exams took up a big chunk of time – roll on August for results (oops, that’s me wishing more time away). There’s been lots of travelling about the country, but I’m still in disbelief that we’re at the end of June already. And, its not just time that I am losing…
Money seems to be draining out of my account way too fast. £20 here, £15 there and all of a sudden a small fortune has been spent. Personally, I blame contactless payments and apps that let you move money about, it’s just way too easy. Things that are supposed to make life easier – and don’t get me wrong they do – just seem to be costing me more money in the long run. I need to get a grip!
And, to top it all eldest is learning to drive. It doesn’t seem that long ago that I was learning to drive, but the reality is that it was 30 years ago. 30 years! Now I feel old. I am old. Maybe that’s why I’m losing track of time. Maybe that’s why I’ve lost it… whatever it was.
Anyway, rant over for now – but it is only the start of the summer holidays and there’s six weeks to get through. Wish me luck, I could really do with a lottery win and a time machine about now!
